Abstract
Aj v právnom odvetví sa môže stať, že výrok istej autority ovplyvní ďalekosiahlym spôsobom jeho ďalší vývoj bez ohľadu na jej pôvodný zámer.Uvedené sa ideálne hodí na konštatovanie pápeža prelomu 12. a 13.storočia, Inocenta III., ktorý nepriamo apeloval na verejné autority slovami publicae utilitatis intersit, ne crimina remaneant impunita.Kvôli výnimočne silnému postaveniu pápežstva vo vtedajšej societe sa mu totiž takto podarilo ovplyvniť ďalší vývoj verejného, najmä trestného práva, a to predovšetkým v zmysle presadenia prístupov a inštitútov stíhajúcich páchateľov trestných činov ex officio, nepriamo tak napomáhajúc aj etablovaniu inkvizičných procesných postupov.Hlavným cieľom článku je predstaviť osobnosť tohto historicky najsilnejšieho pápeža vôbec, ponúknuť autentické znenie dekretálie Ut fame, spolu s jej prvým slovenským prekladom, vrátane analýzy jej ustanovení a dopadov na ďalší vývoj odvetvia trestného práva, a to či už kánonického, ako aj svetského.Kľúčové slová vrcholný stredovek -Inocent III.-pápežská teokracia -dekretália Ut fame -zásada ne crimina remaneant impunita -
