Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The Ukrainian Romanticism is known to be as a trend in science and culture in the second quarter of the 19th century. Some characteristic features of the European Romanticism had been combined in it with peculiar, original manifestations and this fact changed the Ukrainian Romanticism into a separate phenomenon of the World History. Scholarly works written in this very time in Ukraine’s territory have got an impression of Romanticism’s philosophy, they are forming a separate group which needs its’ own method of research. One of the key problems in history of the Source Studies is actualized in the thesis: the Romanticism is a special period in this country’s Source Studies, because it drew researchers’ attention to the Source as such, namely as a subject deserving cognitive efforts. In the period of the Romanticism a question of methods and limits of the historical sources’ knowledge was raised. Generally-Romanticism’s purposes concerning actualization of the source’s role were strengthened by other factors that were conductive to growth of interest in antiquities. The realization of State programs concerning sources on home history created favorable foundation for formation of the Source Studies as a science. The Source Studies’ work in the second half of the 19-th century, in our view, had two main trends: a source was being studied as an independent research problem and in the same time as means of knowledge. Both these trends became apparent in studies on the Old Rus’ history. As a subject of research in this article are that new phenomena which appeared in the Source Studies of the Kyiv Rus’ history. It is first of all an appearance of interest of the Ukrainian historians to problems of this country’s Chronicles’ studies and source base of Kyiv Rus’ history, as well as their own vision of the 9th – 14th centuries’ history, extension of the source base as a result of appearance of the new trends of the Kyiv Rus’ history researches. All this had created the necessary circumstances for further development of the Source Studies in Positivism period and transformation of the Source Studies to an original scientific discipline by the end of the 19th century.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
