Abstract

La demande de développement des compétences de base de la population adulte est un fait relativement récent dans les pays industriels avancés. Toutefois cette demande n’est pas une demande d’alphabétisation mais d’actualisation de compétences déjà maitrisées mais peu pratiquées par la suite et en plus devant maintenant être mobilisées dans un environnement à haute intensité technologique. Cette perspective nouvelle exige de revoir les dispositifs et pratiques d’expression de cette demande et de reconnaitre tant l’intimité de tels apprentissages que leur pertinence socio-économique. On peut alors mieux saisir tant la pertinence individuelle que la légitimité sociale de ce droit nouveau des citoyens de la modernité avancée à l’actualisation de leurs compétences de base.
