Abstract
Pendant longtemps, les femmes ont été sous-représentées dans les sphères de décision au Burkina Faso. Pour inverser cette situation perçue comme une injustice sociale, plusieurs démarches ont été entreprises et plusieurs stratégies mises en œuvre par les gouvernements successifs, en collaboration avec les structures de défense des droits des femmes. Cette dynamique a abouti, en 2009, à l’adoption de la Loi N° 010-2009/AN portant fixation de quotas aux élections législatives et municipales au Burkina Faso. Cette loi qui fait obligation aux partis et formations politiques d’avoir au moins 30 % de femmes sur leurs listes visait à assurer la présence des femmes dans les instances électives. Après plus de deux mandats d’application, elle peine toujours à atteindre ses objectifs. Quels sont les contextes politiques et sociaux qui rendent l’application de cette loi difficile ? Comment les partis politiques rusent-ils avec cette loi ?
