Abstract
The article is devoted to the manuscript novel “Die asiatische Banise” almost forgotten nowadays which was translated from Russian into German in the middle of the XVIIIth century by a translator of the Academy of Sciences V.I.Lebedev. The survived variants of the novel make it possible to realize that the readers’ preferences of the noted magnates of the reign of Elizaveta Petrovna differed very little from those of their unknown contemporaries, and the requirements as to grammatical and spelling regularity of a manuscript text were quite far from the demands made to printed production. Nevertheless the manuscript books in the middle and the third quarter of the XVIIIth century wasn’t ejected to the periphery of the cultural life.
Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
