Abstract
El cometido de este trabajo es poner de relieve la estrategia que proponen Nicolás Guillén e Inongo-vi-Makomè para ayudar al afrocubano de “West Indies Ltd.” y el migrante camerunés en la España de Mam’enying! (Cosas de la vida) a hacer frente al riesgo de fagocitosis cultural. Dicha estrategia de resistencia consiste en la multicentralidad cultural y la transculturación. El corpus estudiado son “West Indies Ltd.”, poema epónimo incluido en West Indies Ltd., y Mam’enying! (Cosas de la vida), la tercera novela del escritor camerunés Inongo-vi-Makomè. Este análisis se apoya en la teoría sociosemiótica de la escuela de Montréal, completada por las de Gilroy y Cros acerca del Atlántico negro y el sujeto cultural, respectivamente.
