espanolDurante los anos 40 y 50 Canada experimento una suerte de panico moral frente a los comics que derivo en una campana social liderada principalmente por academicos, bibliotecarios, educadores y grupos civicos. Un asesinato perpetrado por dos menores en Dawson Creek se utilizo como excusa para aprobar una Ley Federal a iniciativa del diputado Davie Fulton. La nueva norma modificaba el Codigo Penal Canadiense para perseguir a los “crime comics”; norma que sigue viva hoy en dia. EnglishDuring the 40’s and the 50’s Canada experienced a moral panic against comic books which caused a social campaign mainly leaded by scholars, librarians, educators, and civil groups. A murder committed by two minors in Dawson Creek was used as an excuse to pass a Federal Act promoted by MP Davie Fulton. The new Act changed the Canadian Criminal Code to persecute crime comics, and it stands in force nowadays.
