Abstract
Pour favoriser l’insertion professionnelle de ses immigrants, le Canada adapte ses programmes de sélection dans la catégorie économique et investit dans des services d’établissement visant à soutenir l’insertion sociale et professionnelle de tous les nouveaux arrivants. En 2021, le Canada compte accueillir 410 000 immigrants permanents au travers de nombreux programmes qui ont tous pour objectif de favoriser le développement économique et la prospérité du Canada en plus de veiller à la réunification des familles et de remplir ses engagements humanitaires. Élaborés dans un cadre législatif bien défini, ces programmes sont revus et adaptés sur la base de données issues d’études longitudinales mesurant le succès rencontré par les nouveaux arrivants. L’opinion favorable exprimée par le public canadien, qui s’est renforcée pendant la crise sanitaire liée à la Covid-19, est une condition et aussi un résultat de l’intégration réussie des immigrants.
