Abstract
Aging is a gradual and irreversible process that causes a functional loss in the individual.In this sense, the practice of physical activity in promoting health and quality of life stands out.The study aims to analyze the profile of quality of life in active and insufficiently active elderly people in Novo Triunfo (BA).The sample consisted of 30 elderly (15 active and 15 insufficiently active), of both sexes, aged between 60 and 85 years.IPAQ and WHOQOL-BREF were used as questionnaires.In the results, a higher prevalence of quality of life was observed in the elderly who were sufficiently active.Thus, it is concluded that physical activity for the elderly is necessary in terms of care, promotion, prevention and control of so many diseases.
