Le roman Écoute (2018) de Boris Razon a pour sujet le téléphone intelligent. Il met en scène, sous prétexte d’une surveillance policière, les flux de données émis par une foule de passants anonymes à Paris. Ce texte est présenté par son auteur comme une reprise fictionnelle de Tentative d’épuisement d’un lieu parisien (1975) de Georges Perec. L’écart entre les deux versions permet de réfléchir aux enjeux soulevés par la représentation romanesque d’Internet et des réseaux socionumériques.
