Abstract
Notre projet de recherche vise a produire des connaissances contribuant a relever le defi d'offrir aux aines a faible revenu des logements collectifs abordables et qui repondent a leurs besoins. Les gouvernements doivent en effet faire face a un enjeu majeur : offrir au nombre grandissant d'aines moins autonomes des logements ou ils pourront poursuivre leur existence en securite. Les residences privees pour aines (RPA) et les ressources intermediaires d'hebergement (RI) sont en plein essor, mais leur capacite de repondre aux besoins de leurs residents a ete peu etudiee. De plus, les informations sur la qualite de vie des residents des RPA et des RI, sur la satisfaction de leurs besoins et sur le respect de leurs droits sont parcellaires. Par ailleurs, la fermeture ou le changement de vocation de plusieurs petites residences, principalement situees hors des grands centres urbains, pose un probleme d'accessibilite preoccupant.
