Les données sur le statut civil peuvent-elles ne pas être représentatives de la réalité conjugale des femmes filicides ? L’examen de la situation de cohabitation serait-il plus approprié de nos jours que les statuts généralement invoqués dans les écrits sur le sujet ? À partir d’un échantillon québécois constitué de 42 femmes filicides, plusieurs variables ont été comparées entre deux sous-groupes selon la présence ou non d’un conjoint cohabitant avec elles au moment du passage à l’acte. Quelques différences significatives ont été notées et nous ont permis une meilleure compréhension de certains aspects situationnels et dynamiques pour chacun des sous-groupes étudiés.
