Dans cet article, Kimberly Skye Richards s’inspire des principes des mouvements populaires pour la justice climatique, des plateformes de mouvements sociaux et des réseaux d’action pour jeter les bases d’un nouveau théâtre vert au Canada, faisant valoir qu’un tel théâtre pourrait servir dans la transition d’une économie d’extraction et d’exploitation vers une économie régénératrice face à la crise climatique. Richards présente quelques graines qui ont déjà été semées pour la création d’un nouveau théâtre vert au Canada, lesquelles donneront l’élan qu’il faut au changement profond essentiel à une transition vers une économie décarbonisée et décolonisée. Elle explique aussi comment la transition énergétique pourra révolutionner le système de production théâtrale actuel.
