Abstract
Avec la pluralisation des espaces médiatiques, la perpétuation des autoritarismes a entraîné une transformation des modes de contrôle de l’expression et de neutralisation de la contestation en Afrique. En s’appuyant sur l’analyse des énoncés politiques et des contenus médiatiques, cet article questionne l’usage politique de la peur tel qu’il transparaît dans certains médias. Il analyse la structuration institutionnelle de la presse, plus particulièrement au Cameroun, ainsi que la manière dont celle-ci construit un discours de la peur pour diaboliser des adversaires politiques.
