Abstract
De nombreux enseignants oeuvrent dans des contextes nationaux distincts de leur lieu de formation. La recherche a jusqu’ici négligé de regarder la part jouée par leurs nouveaux partenaires de travail dans leur (re)socialisation à la profession. Cette recherche éclaire comment les interactions au travail sont le moteur de l’ajustement du savoir enseigner d’enseignants formés à l’étranger intégrant les écoles montréalaises. Les résultats montrent que les interactions les amènent à changer leurs représentations de l’éducation, des rapports au sein de la communauté éducative et de la profession enseignante, jusqu’à ce que celles-ci soient viables en contexte. Il en ressort que leurs divers partenaires de travail jouent un rôle différencié dans la socialisation qui contribue à la reproduction des conventions du métier.
