Nous analysons, dans une perspective comparative, le rôle du diplôme et de la mise à l’épreuve des compétences dans la réussite d’une intégration dans les entreprises en France et au Québec pour des immigrants déjà dotés d’une solide qualification professionnelle. Nous nous appuyons sur les récits des parcours migratoires et professionnels de 42 immigrants qualifiés. Notre analyse fait ressortir que bien que le diplôme et la mise à l’épreuve des compétences restent importants dans les deux cas, ils ne sont pas évalués de la même façon dans les deux contextes.
