Abstract
Ce compte rendu met en valeur comment l’ Éthique de l’accompagnement – Une approche existentielle de Jacques Quintin permet d’appréhender la relation à l’Autre, et notamment la relation soignant-soigné, de manière éthique. Ce livre démontre que le rôle du soignant réside dans l’accompagnement de la personne malade et de ses proches afin de les guider dans un processus de réflexion, un examen de soi, de délibération et de prise de décision quant à la question de leur propre existence et de la compréhension de soi. Cette oeuvre est un remarquable développement, mais également un guide, dans la mise en pratique de l’éthique clinique.
