Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

espanolStudies of the assaults on Jewish quarters in the Crown of Aragon in the year 1391 feature prominently in Jaume Riera’s extensive body of work. A singular case to study is that of the Jewish community of Besalu. Notarial documents point to an air of tension prior to the Jews being attacked. The arrival from the north of Armagnac companies and conflicts between factions caused alarming social instability, a tense atmosphere that was the backdrop to the attack on Besalu’s Jewish quarter. Some Jews had to take refuge outside the town, in the fortified enclosures of certain Christians with whom they had previously had economic and ommercial dealings. catalaDins l’extensa bibliografia produida per Jaume Riera, destaquen els estudis sobre els avalots contra els calls jueus de la Corona d’Arago de l’any 1391.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
