Abstract
Highlights Dynamic ductile fracture propagation of pipeline steels was studied using 3D CZM. JIS STPG370 steel was examined. CZM calibrated for a small‐scale specimen (DWTT) transferred to large‐scale pipes. Calibrated CZMs can be used to reproduce experimental data with good agreements. The fracture velocities and the CTOAs are in good agreements.
