Spanish Abstract: ?Como lograr la convergencia y coherencia entre la teoria y la practica administrativa para pensar la sostenibilidad ambiental y los problemas humanos en el sector minero? En este articulo se busca comprender la realidad social del sector minero y de la gestion sostenible desde dos formas que parten de un enfoque interdisciplinario del estudio de los problemas humanos de la gestion. En primer lugar, la via de la reconstruccion de la estructura social, la cual requiere del acceso a la produccion del conocimiento y de igual manera de las experiencias concretas en este sector. En segundo lugar, la via de la comprension e interpretacion a partir del estudio de las representaciones de la gestion sostenible, la estructura social y del capital social. Portuguese Abstract: Como obter convergencia e coerencia entre a teoria e a pratica administrativa na analise da sustentabilidade ambiental e dos problemas humanos no setor mineiro? Neste artigo a realidade social nas atividades de mineracao, sua gestao sustentavel e osproblemas humanos relativos a questao sao analisados sob dois aspectos e com enfoque interdisciplinar. Primeiramente, analisa a reconstrucao da estrutura social na mineracao. Uma abordagem que requer tanto acesso a producao do conhecimento como as experiencias especificas do setor. Em seguida, procura compreender e interpretar essa realidade convergindo o estudo da gestao sustentavel, da estrutura social e do capital social no setor mineiro. English Abstract: How to achieve convergence and coherence between management practice and theory to reflect on the environmental sustainability and human issues in the mining sector? In this paper, the social reality of the mining sector and sustainable management are approached in two ways that emerge from an interdisciplinary study of the human issues of management. Firstly, the way of the social structure reconstruction, which requires access to the production of knowledge and the specific experiences of the sector. Secondly, the way of the understanding and interpretation from the study of the sustainable management, the social structure and social capital.
