A Literatura Feminina do Maranhão, autoras e obras face à Academia Maranhense de Letras é um trabalho que procura de forma suscinta demonstrar a importância das raízes históricas para uma compreensão do que seja São Luís na atualidade , a partir de uma reflexão da literatura feminina do Maranhão.Nesse contexto, o trabalho apresenta um breve histórico da literatura feminina seguido da vida e obra das escritoras maranhenses, representadas por três autoras (Maria Firmina dos Reis, Arlete Nogueira da Cruz Machado e Laura Amélia dos Santos Damous).portanto,o trabalho procura apresentar uma relação entre a literatura feminina e o ingresso de mulheres na Academia Maranhense de Letras , desde sua fundação até os dias de hoje.
