Recit d'une renaissance, ode a la beaute et au mystere du monde, le nouveau roman de Christian Signol convoque des themes chers a l'auteur d'une oeuvre qui celebre la nature et denonce le danger qui la menace. Sur la terre comme au ciel est l'histoire poignante d'un pere et d'un fils separes par le destin. L'un n'a jamais quitte la terre qui l'a vu naitre, cet univers immuable auquel il est visceralement attache et dont il connait les moindres secrets. L'autre, pousse comme un oiseau migrateur vers un ailleurs plein de promesses, est parti au Canada a la decouverte des grands espaces et n'a plus donne de nouvelles depuis dix ans. Jusqu'au drame qui, peut-etre, les ramenera l'un vers l'autre.Christian Signol a ce talent pour evoquer l'immensite du ciel, les etes flamboyants et les aubes limpides. Des etangs du Touvois aux grands espaces du Nord quebecois, ce recit pudique est un hymne au pouvoir consolateur d'une nature magnifiee par la noblesse et la beaute des grands oiseaux libres.
