Abstract
Il termine ‘ascesa’ è spesso affiancato a quello di un perfezionamento spirituale. Le vette della coscienza, raggiungibili con una faticosa disciplina e rigore di sé, comportano delle analogie con le vette delle montagne, per raggiungere le quali sono anche necessari un’inflessibile disciplina e rigore di sé. C’è dunque un rapporto di simbiosi fra l’andare in alto fisicamente (l’ascesa) e l’andare in alto interiormente (l’ascesi). Tra Terra e Cielo: la scalata delle erte cime vuole proporre una lettura comparatistica del purgatorio dantesco prendendo in esame alcune testimonianze letterarie di alpinisti come Messner, Dalla Porta-Xydias, Chaves e Levi.
