Abstract
L’objectif de notre contribution est de mettre au jour les fondements idéologiques, les facteurs sociolinguistiques ainsi que les intérêts sociaux et politiques à la base d’un discours médiatique souvent négatif mais aussi parfois admiratif sur la qualité de la langue parlée du Premier ministre canadien Justin Trudeau. Le corpus soumis à une analyse de discours est un petit corpus (22 textes) de presse internationale francophone sur le sujet de 2016 à aujourd’hui. Ce cas de figure servira de prétexte pour une analyse plus large des idéologies linguistiques dominantes dans la francophonie.
