Maternal weight change at three months postpartum and postpartum breastfeeding, diet and physical activity in Mexican women
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Objective To explore the association of breastfeeding, diet and physical activity with maternal weight change from the first to the third month postpartum. Material and methods Secondary data analysis from a randomized trial in women from urban Mexico.. The information was collected in prospective form. The association of postpartum weight change and diet, physical activity and breastfeeding practices changes in the same period was assessed using generalized estimating equations. Results The overall prevalence of overweight and obesity was 59.5% at three months postpartum. Women who breastfed her infants exclusively until three months postpartum decreased 4.2 (1.96) kg in comparison with women who never breastfed or stop breastfeeding before three months postpartum (p<0.05). Discussion Exclusive breastfeeding can contribute to lose weight in the postpartum period, at least during the first three months. Our finding suggest that exclusive breastfeeding can reduce the prevalence of overweight and obesity in the early postpartum.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
