Abstract
Several considerations based on recent data about the foreseeable future perspectives of the Santa Maria la Ribera quarter in Mexico City are presented here, starting with an overall view of its evolution since its foundation up to now. The text emphasizes some features of this quarter, and most important, shows some variables of the present situation of that territorial sector located in the central area of the metropolis.
