Come concetto connotato culturalmente e come oggetto di ricerca, la natura ha luoghi, ma ha anche linguaggi. Uno di questi, la narrazione letteraria, è al centro della riflessione qui proposta. Adottando la prospettiva delle more than human geographies, il contributo esplora due spazi (letterari), quello urbano e quello montano, in cui la natura prende forma come soggetto attivo e creativo. Con l'analisi della natura nell'avanzare dell'urbanizzazione diffusa del Nordest, raccontata da Effetto domino di Romolo Bugaro(2015), e nell'Italia interna dell'Appennino tosco-emiliano de I passi nel bosco di Sandro Campani (2020), il testo letterario viene letto come un ecosistema di voci e soggetti, capace di suggerire sguardi altri sul rapporto fra la natura e l'umano, dentro e fuori la pagina.
