わが国初となる手術支援ロボットシステム「hinotoriTMサージカルロボットシステム」は,2020年8月に製造販売承認,同年9月に保険適用となった。当初は泌尿器科領域の手術に限定する形で認可されたが,今後は対象診療科および対象術式を拡大する予定である。本稿では,われわれが2015年より株式会社メディカロイドとの産学連携,医工連携により開発を行ってきた本機器の医療機器承認および,その開発過程の実際につき解説する。
