Abstract
El objetivo de este ensayo es exponer las representaciones etnicas en el cine sobre migrantes chinos en Estados Unidos y Canada, particularmente en las peliculas The Joy Luck Club (conocida en espanol como El Club de la Buena Estrella, 1993) y Double Happiness (1994), ademas de analizar las relaciones entre estas personas y sus hijos nacidos en Occidente, con especial enfasis en la ruptura del dialogo intergeneracional como resultado del traslado y la exposicion intercultural vivida por la segunda generacion.
