Abstract
Ce numéro thématique met en valeur et explore les parcours multiples et complexes qui sont partagés par des personnes LGBTQ+ migrantes, réfugiées ou issues de la diversité ethnoculturelle. Dans un contexte social où les normes de genre et de sexualité associées aux immigrants tendent à être reléguées au conservatisme et à la répression et celles des sociétés occidentales au libéralisme et à l’émancipation, il apparaît important de réfléchir sur cette tension telle qu’elle se répercute véritablement dans le parcours des personnes migrantes et racisées qui s’identifient comme LGBTQ+. Le numéro est organisé en trois axes : 1) les réalités des personnes LGBTQ+ réfugiées et demandeuses d’asile en Occident ; 2) les négociations identitaires au sein des communautés ethnoculturelles minorisées et 3) les divers positionnements des chercheuses et chercheurs qui se penchent sur les réalités des personnes LGBTQ+ racisées/ethnicisées.
