Abstract
Les enjeux identitaires émergent des caractéristiques de l’époque actuelle dite d’hypermodernité. Ces enjeux surgissent parce qu’on a vu s’effondrer les institutions sur lesquelles les sociétés modernes se sont construites. Par ailleurs, la surabondance événementielle caractéristique des parcours de vie dans la période actuelle nuit à la création de sens et entraine une incertitude quant à la définition de soi. L’expérimentation constante de figures identitaires prend une couleur spécifique pour les jeunes de 16 à 20 ans. Certains jeunes n’ont pas bénéficié de supports économiques et sociaux et se trouvent désinscrits, car l’hypermodernité contraindrait l’individu à un travail constant sur lui-même pour se réaliser, pour développer une identité qui n’est pas celle assignée au départ et entrainerait un besoin infini de reconnaissance. Ces jeunes se vivent dans un type particulier d’excès : l’inexistence. Ils sont de plus privés de reconnaissance par autrui. Les deux parcours présentés dans ce texte montreront les acquis identitaires subséquents à une démarche formative.
