Abstract
La participation des publics à des initiatives de sciences participatives est appréhendée dans le cadre d’un questionnement sur les formes et figures de l’engagement citoyen. À partir d’une synthèse de travaux empiriques, une typologie de six figures est proposée pour comprendre ce qui engage les citoyens et ce que ces formes d’engagement révèlent des relations entre scientifiques et non-scientifiques, et plus largement du rapport entre science et société. La mise à jour de formes d’engagements plurielles permet de sortir des catégorisations habituelles pour qualifier les modes de participation et d’éclairer la diversité des activités de sciences participatives.
