Abstract
Este artículo se pretende mostrar cómo se utiliza el teatro forum en la actuación con grupos comunitarios. Se presenta un estudio de casos llevado a cabo sobre un grupo que se ha formado en las actividades desarrolladas por el Centro de Teatro del Oprimido grupo, formado por mujeres que trabajan como empeladas domésticas, el teatro se presenta como una oportunidad de vivenciar y aprender nuevos conocimientos, de tener momentos de ocio, sueños y alegría, de compartir y vivir con las compañeras historias de vida semejantes. Las participantes declaran haber experimentado cambios en su trabajo y en su vida personal: mejora de la convivencia en el trabajo, con la familia y con los amigos y cambios relacionados con la autoconfianza, seguridad en la resolución de problemas cotidianos, visión crítica del mundo, ejercicio de la ciudadanía, la práctica del teatro forum favorece el desarrollado habilidades que ayudan a tomar conciencia y a deshacer las situaciones de opresión.
