Abstract
Die Geschichte begann wie so oft mit einem mutigen Start-up. 2013 gründeten Jonathan Coulombe und Ilian Bonev in Kanada die Firma Mecademic. Die beiden kannten sich von der Technischen Universität in Montreal, wo Coulombe sein Studium als Elektroingenieur abschloss und Bonev als Professor tätig ist. Gemeinsam entwickelten sie einen Schulungsroboter für Universitäten. Dann aber gehen sie einen Schritt weiter. Ihr Ziel: einen Industrieroboter zu entwickeln, der viel kleiner, intuitiver und präziser als alle bisherigen Modelle ist. Die Antriebsmotoren spielen dabei eine wichtige Rolle.
