A gestão hoteleira nos tempos atuais vem passando por dificuldades na prospecção e fidelização de novos clientes, a situação de crise que o setor enfrenta ocorreu após as expectativas com o evento da copa do mundo de 2014 não serem atendidas. Portanto este artigo objetivou discorrer sobre as estratégias de marketing que poderiam ser utilizadas para aumentar a taxa de ocupação no Hotel, localizado no bairro Carlos Prates em Belo Horizonte - Minas Gerais. A metodologia utilizada para elaboração do artigo foram as pesquisas descritiva, exploratória, qualitativa, bibliográfica e o estudo de caso. Pode-se destacar algumas estratégias como a implantação de uma pesquisa de satisfação para obter o feedback dos clientes; atualização constante das redes sociais e a divulgação do Hotel em eventos realizados em Belo Horizonte. Sugere-se que sejam realizadas novas pesquisas em associações ligadas ao setor hoteleiro, como uma estratégia de benchmarking, avaliando a empresa em relação à concorrência, por meio do qual é possível aplicar os melhores desempenhos de outros hotéis. Uma dessas associações podem ser o Convention & Visitors Bureau.
