Abstract
La segmentation sociospatiale et la crise des processus de reproduction socio-ethnique à Media Luna (La Guajira) permettent de comprendre la transition des Wayuu vers une dépendance à l’assistanat néolibéral. D’après les ethnographies réalisées entre 1998 et 2018, le processus de segmentation sociospatiale trouve son origine dans la réduction et la fixation sur le territoire et dans les politiques néolibérales de reconnaissance multiculturelle. Ses conséquences sont 1) que les nouvelles unités sociospatiales n’ont plus les moyens matériels de subsistance et dépendent du travail salarié et de l’offre institutionnelle, et 2) que des ruptures se produisent dans les liens de solidarité, de collaboration et de complémentarité pour le soutien mutuel et les conflits internes dus à la concurrence des ressources et des équipements institutionnels.
