Abstract
O presente estudo tem por finalidade propiciar uma discussão teórica-epistemológica da Teoria Sintética da Evolução e os pressupostos atuais da biologia evolutiva, a Síntese Estendida da Evolução, em correlação com a Epistemologia de Lakatos. A epistemologia de Lakatos propicia um entendimento da construção da ciência, que se constitui por Metodologias de Programas de Pesquisa, enfoque dado nas discussões. Espera-se que fomentar reflexões epistemológicas que sejam relevantes na busca de incluir essa compreensão a respeito da biologia evolutiva no ensino de evolução e na formação de professores, visto que a Evolução Biológica é o conceito central da Biologia, pois unifica todos os conteúdos biológicos.Palavras Chave: Biologia Evolutiva.
