Abstract
A partir de una revisión de la literatura metadisciplinar se realiza una exploración histórica y descripción de algunos factores contextuales y de la influencia de la tradición estadounidense en la conformación del perfil contemporáneo de la ciencia política en Canadá, ello desde el punto de vista de la tradición e historia de la ciencia política mexicana, la cual se considera tuvo un proceso de desarrollo con algunos aspectos paralelos particularmente en lo que respecta a la influencia de la tradición estadounidense en su perfil disciplinar.
