Abstract
본 연구는 만 4∼6세 유아를 자녀로 둔 다문화 가정과 비다문화 가정 부모의 문해행동과 유아의 출현적 문해 능력을 알아보고, 그 관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 서울시와 경기도에 거주하는 다문화 가정 유아 51명과 비다문화 가정 유아 51명 및 그들의 어머니였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 다문화 가정과 비다문화 가정의 부모 문해행동은 차이가 있었다. 다문화 가정 부모는 비다문화 가정 부모보다 유아를 위한 책 읽기 지원, 환경 인쇄물 지원, 쓰기 지원과 같은 문해행동을 더 적게 하였다. 둘째, 다문화 가정과 비다문화 가정 유아의 출현적 문해 능력은 차이가 있었다. 다문화 가정 유아는 비다문화 가정 유아보다 어휘력이 낮고, 자음 가획 및 자모 합성 원리와 관련한 자모 지식 점수가 낮았으며, 쓰기 능력 점수도 낮았다. 셋째, 다문화 가정과 비다문화 가정 모두 부모가 가정에서 문해행동에 대한 지원을 많이 할수록 유아의 수용 및 표현 어휘력 점수가 높았다. 비다문화 가정의 경우 부모의 문해 지원 행동이 많을수록 유아의 자모 합성 원리에 관한 자모 지식, 유아의 쓰기 능력 점수가 높았다. 결론적으로 다문화 가정과 비다문화 가정 부모가 유아에게 책, 환경 인쇄물, 쓰기와 관련된 활동 기회를 제공하는 등의 부모 문해행동은 유아의 출현적 문해 능력과 관련이 있다.
