Abstract
Se presenta una sintesis de la produccion cientifica de la Escuela de Enfermeria de la Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile entre enero y diciembre del ano 2003. Se desarrollaron 35 estudios de investigacion. De ellos, el 54,2% no fueron concursados y se desarrollaron como parte del trabajo docente y clinico, revelando la motivacion y compromiso de las profesoras con la produccion de conocimiento propio de la disciplina. El 45,7% son estudios colaborativos con instituciones extranjeras que reciben fondos de CIDA en Canada y Fogarty/NIH de Estados Unidos. El 11,4% corresponde a proyectos financiados con fondos propios. Las profesoras hicieron 46 publicaciones entre capitulos de libros, articulos de revistas, resumenes de investigaciones en congresos internacionales y nacionales y otros. La produccion academica de la Escuela se ha mantenido estable y presenta mejor calidad y competitividad, lo que ofrece solidez y garantia de excelencia progresiva en su ser formador.
