Abstract
Ofícios e Saberes no Mundo do Trabalho Contemporâneo é uma coletânea organizada por duas professoras experientes na temática do trabalho que conta com a colaboração de diversos autores e do resultado de suas pesquisas. Escapando das tradicionais análises das fábricas, bancos e outros ramos centrais da atividade econômica, o livro discute um objeto pouco explorado nos estudos acadêmicos: o trabalho artesanal. Foram apresentados os seguintes ofícios: telegrafista, alfaiate, costureira, sapateiro, curtumeiro, ceramista, marceneiro, ladrilheiro, amolador de facas, parteira. Uma pluralidade e heterogeneidade que se conecta na resistência ao mundo industrial, tanto na ousadia em não aceitar o controle do tempo taylorista, quanto em continuar realizando um trabalho em que a habilidade manual e a criatividade são exigidas. Dessa maneira, não versa sobre a produção capitalista em larga escala, ao contrário, retrata um aspecto residual a ela, apresentando, através das memórias dos trabalhadores de ofícios artesanais, como resistem à lógica do capital na própria realização do seu trabalho. A coletânea é uma contribuição importante para as reflexões no terreno da Sociologia do Trabalho, abordando desde os aspectos objetivos das atividades laborais, como também os efeitos subjetivos das relações de trabalho no exercício dos ofícios. Os textos desta coletânea fazem um registro das profundas alterações pelas quais muitas ocupações e ofícios abordados foram passando ao longo do tempo; conceito fundamental que percorre o livro todo.
