Le rapport rédigé par l’historien Benjamin Stora, rendu public le 20 janvier 2021, à propos des questions mémorielles portant sur la colonisation et la guerre d’Algérie, répond à une mission que lui a confiée le président de la République. Lors d’une conversation avec Tahar Khalfoune, l’historien et le juriste reviennent sur la réception de ce rapport en France et en Algérie, ainsi que sur les controverses que suscitent ces questions mémorielles. Ils proposent enfin une analyse sur la manière dont cet héritage colonial et cette culture de guerre structurent de part et d’autre l’imaginaire national.
