Abstract

La recherche-action porte une double finalité : transformer la réalité et produire des connaissances concernant ces transformations. C’est selon cette méthodologie qu’une expérience a été menée au Cégep Limoilou en vue de favoriser la persévérance et la réussite des garçons aux études collégiales. Des activités de groupes de soutien, de tutorat, de formation des enseignants et enseignantes et de marketing social ont été mises sur pied au cours des années 2002-2003 et 2003-2004. La recherche-action s’est déroulée selon un processus d’évaluation continu par un collectif de recherche qui retournait le fruit de ses analyses aux acteurs du milieu qui rajustaient le tir en améliorant les interventions réalisées. L’article présente la problématique initiale, l’articulation de la méthodologie de recherche-action qu’a expérimentée l’équipe de recherche avec les acteurs du milieu ainsi qu’un aperçu des principaux résultats sur la réussite scolaire des garçons.
