Abstract
Le domaine de l’éducation subit les influences et les courants qui stabilisent ou perturbent nos sociétés dorénavant en lien constant entre elles. C’est pourquoi les gouvernements des pays industrialisés, fortement influencés par le phénomène de la mondialisation et de la globalisation des marchés, grâce aux moyens de communication de plus en plus complexes, ont senti le besoin de légiférer pour décentraliser, au même diapason, leur système éducatif. Dans ce courant de renouvellement de la gestion des institutions qui dispensent le savoir, le partenariat au niveau scolaire émerge, tendant à promouvoir la responsabilisation de tous les citoyens à l’égard du système scolaire. Le contexte général qui incite la société à collaborer à son éducation, la participation sociale en éducation au Canada et au Québec, via les conseils d’établissements scolaires, ainsi que les incidences inhérentes aux changements apportés par le partenariat en éducation font l’objet de ce propos. Les nouveaux acteurs du monde scolaire devront donc se former, s’adapter et résoudre leurs conflits. L’éclatement produit par la décentralisation, notamment au Québec, comporte ses aspects positifs et négatifs. Cela en vaut-il vraiment la peine?
