Abstract
L’article porte sur le projet collectif d’orientation (PCO) et sa mise en oeuvre avec des groupes de personnes en chômage de longue durée. Le PCO a trois grandes dimensions, soit l’action, l’apprentissage et la reconnaissance, et une directionnalité vers la formation et le travail. Les résultats soutiennent que les personnes participantes développent leur pouvoir d’agir en contribuant à leur communauté. Elles réalisent des apprentissages et peuvent bénéficier d’espaces de reconnaissance de leurs compétences. La transformation du rapport à soi et à la communauté lors des PCO peut devenir un moteur pour des projets favorisant l’insertion sociale et professionnelle.
