L’implication des familles dont un enfant a d’une déficience motrice cérébrale dans la gestion du développement de leur enfant et des services dont il a besoin a connu une évolution notable. Elle a permis entre autres aux professionnels de reconnaître les savoirs parentaux comme étant des savoirs crédibles. Elle a aussi forcé ces professionnels à instaurer et donc favoriser l’acquisition de nouvelles relations par une nouvelle forme de rétroaction constante avec les familles, avec de nouvelles compétences parentales, facilitant notamment une meilleure prise en charge des enfants. Cet article présente une étude phénoménologique rétrospective ayant pour but d’étudier l’établissement du partenariat entre les différents professionnels et les familles dont un enfant prématuré est atteint d’une déficience motrice cérébrale. Il présente l’analyse du processus de la continuité de services offerts. Dans le cadre de cette étude, les parents et les professionnels ont été rencontrés en entrevue individuelle. Du point de vue des parents, les résultats obtenus à partir des entrevues individuelles avec des parents et des professionnels identifient les objets des savoirs acquis, les lieux de transmission des savoirs, les éléments qui en facilitent l’accès, ainsi que la nature des besoins nécessitant des dispositifs d’apprentissage.
