Abstract
La crise présente de ce que l’on appelle les finalités de l’éducation tient, d’une part, à l’effacement des grands référents anciens et des repères qu’ils permettaient d’établir pour baliser les pratiques et éventuellement en juger; d’autre part, à l’hégémonie d’une idéologie d’inspiration techno scientifique qui place tout sous le signe de la rationalité instrumentale et des seules lois - totalitaires - du Marché. Cette crise nous invite, voire nous oblige à renoncer à l’énoncé pour reprendre les chemins de l’énonciation. Il nous faut faire le deuil des fondements et des finalités pour entrer dans un débat permanent sur les visées des politiques, des programmes et des pratiques d’éducation et de formation. Telle est la thèse que j’entends exposer et défendre dans les pages qui suivent.
