Abstract
L’article fait l’hypothèse que la formation professionnelle continue joue une double fonction. La première (et traditionnelle) fonction vise la satisfaction des exigences de fonctionnement de l’entreprise en matière de compétences individuelles et collectives. La deuxième, renforcée par l’évolution des conditions de la compétitivité, vise la conformation des salariés à un modèle identitaire privilégié par les responsables des entreprises. Cette fonction est analysée à partir d’un détour historique mettant en rapport les modèles organisationnels et les modes d’assignation de l’identité aux salariés. Il aboutit à une mise en garde contre les risques d’exclusion qui se font au nom du profit, sans impunité et sans éthique de la part des tenants de l’économie libérale.
