Dalam riset ini, data diperoleh melalui literatur, observasi, dan wawancara dengan tokoh dan warga Rifaiyah di Tambangsari, Kedungwinong, Sukolilo, Pati, Jawa Tengah. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan ditulisnya naskah ini untuk memberi fakta bahwa jamaah Rifaiyah masih eksis hingga kini karena dilestarikan oleh generasi santrinya dengan mengkaji Kitab Tarjumah, karya K.H. Ahmad Rifai dan keberadaan Pondok Pesantren Rifaiyah. Hasil riset menunjukkan, bahwa lestarinyajamaah Rifaiyah di Dukuh Tambangsari hingga kini karena adanya peran seorang perempuan sebagai generasi penerus Rifaiyah. Ia adalah salah seorang cucu dari K.H. Ahmad Rifai, cikal bakal kiai/guru Rifaiyah yang mengenalkan Rifaiyah di Dukuh Tambangsari bernama K. Hannan. Adapun peran K. Hannan pada saat itu, antara lain: (1) sebagai pendakwah perempuan pada forum pengajian umum di wilayah Kabupaten Pati dan pengajian rutin dalam organisasi keagamaan di Dukuh Tambangsari; (2) sebagaiguru Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an di Dukuh Tambangsari; dan (3) mengaji Kitab Tarjumah.
