Dans cet article, nous voulons décrire l’articulation des dynamiques temporelles de l’apprentissage et de l’enseignement propres à trois classes de mathématiques de première secondaire. Les données d’observation sur lesquelles repose cette description ont été recueillies auprès de trois classes relevant de la responsabilité d’un même enseignant; la première est une classe de doubleurs, la seconde est une classe d’élèves réguliers et la troisième une classe DÉFI (élèves « forts »). Sur la base d’une analyse d’une part, de l’organisation temporelle des leçons et, d’autre part, des interactions didactiques observées dans les classes, notre recherche permet de différencier la manière dont joue le temps didactique sur le fonctionnement des trois systèmes didactiques étudiés.
